Boulder Valley Girls Lacrosse
January 1st - February 15th: Registration opens for the BVGL Travel Season January 1st - February 15th. Open to players 7-14 years of age.
Please note that tryouts may be necessary based on registration numbers. If tryouts are held, no cuts will be made. Players will be placed on the appropriate U level team at the gold or silver level.
January-February: Indoor Skills & Lacrosse Conditioning Nights. This is an 8 week session designed to prepare players for the 2014 spring season. Skills Night will be on Tuesdays in January and February and Lacrosse Conditioning will be on Thursdays in January & February. Skills Night is at Bear Creek Elementary 2500 Table Mesa Dr., Boulder 80305 with 1 hour timeslots per U level (U9 & U11 6-7pm; U13 7-8pm; U15 8-9pm). Lacrosse Conditioning is at Creekside Elementary 3740 Martin Dr., Boulder 80305 from 7-8pm for all players.
Online Registration opens 11/1.
March: Travel practice starts the week of 3/3 and goes through 5/30. Practice is M-W-F. We will practice at New Vista HS 3/3, 3/5, & 3/7 from 4:30-6:00pm due to lack of daylight. The following week and for the rest of the season, we will practice at Platt MS 6:00-7:30pm.
BVGL & CU Womens Lacrosse Club will host a 3v3 tournament on March 9th at Kittredge field, 12-4pm. Minimum number of players is 5. Register here in January.
The CGLA Spring Fling Play Day is 3/16. No practice during BVSD Spring Break 3/24-28.
April: Travel games will be played 4/5, 12, 19, 26
Developmental Leaguewill be at the YMCA at 95th & Araphaoe on Thursdays 6-7pm and Sundays 4-5:30pm. The league is for youth players interested in learning how to play lacrosse in a non-competitive environment. Registration will open February 17th. DL dates are 4/24, 4/27, 5/1, 5/4, 5/8, 5/11.
May: Travel games will be played 5/3, 10. The CGLA Festival will take place 5/17 & 18 at DICK'S SGP.
June: Rocky Mountain Jamboree 5/31 & 6/1 in Lakewood. BVGL Summer Camp will be June 9th-11th, 9-3pm at CU's Kittredge Field for girls having completed 1st-8th grade.
Summer League will start June 18 at Platt MS. For experienced players having completed 3rd-8th grade. Scrimmages will be from 5-6pm for U9-U12 and 6-7pm for U13-U15.
The new Women's League will follow summer league on Wednesday nights, 7-8pm.

US Lacrosse U Levels
US Lacrosse Age & Eligibility Guidelines / The following age groupings are determined as of the August 31st preceding competition:
NOTE: Age group references used in this section are in common usage but should not be understood literally. The U15 (read: "Under 15") grouping means that, if a player is 14 years old on the cutoff date, he/she may participate in U15 competition as a 15-year old.
U15: All players must be 14 years old or younger on the August 31st preceding competition. It is recommended that when multiple teams exist within a program, the program should consider physical size, skill, and maturity when organizing teams.
U13: All players must be 12 years old or younger on the August 31st preceding competition. It is recommended that when multiple teams exist within a program, the program should consider physical size, skill, and maturity when organizing teams. U11: All players must be 10 years old or younger on the August 31st preceding competition. It is recommended that when multiple teams exist within a program, the program should consider physical size, skill, and maturity when organizing teams. U9: All players must be 8 years old or younger on the August 31st preceding competition. It is recommended that when multiple teams exist within a program, teams should consider physical size, skill, and maturity.
